Pouriska Kivanany

Pouriska is a fourth year graduate student in the Department of Biomedical Engineering. A lifelong Dallasite, she completed both her undergraduate and master’s degrees at the University of Texas at Arlington. At UTSW, Pouriska has volunteered with United to Serve and acted as the Volunteer Chair of the Graduate School Organization (GSO), where she helped coordinate and foster graduate student participation in the volunteer efforts of local area organizations. As this year’s Volunteer Chair of United to Serve, she hopes to use her experience to encourage all students at UTSW to become involved to help better meet the medical needs of Dallas’s underserved populations.When she is not in the lab or volunteering, Pouriska enjoys hitting the gym and hanging out on her porch swing with her beloved dog Pepsi.
