Some call him the coolest person ever; others call him downright awesome. He prefers to just be called by his name, Prince. While he is obviously a great person, he is also known for exaggerating and telling elaborate stories to make his life sound more interesting. With that said, he is really a Nigerian Prince… please do not ask him about any of the specifics. Prince graduated from Baylor University, where he received a B.S. degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry and Medical humanities. When he is not studying, he enjoys hanging out with friends and exploring the city of Dallas. Prince loves to eat all types of food and is very open to trying new things, with the exception of spicy foods, sugary desserts, rich milk or dark chocolate, grapefruit, lima beans, and pretty much any food item that a third grader would have difficulty pronouncing. Prince enjoys his position as Chair of the Prizes and Donations Committee and is looking forward to United to Serve.

Xuan Yao – Donations and Awards Assistant Chair xuan [dot] yao [at] utsouthwestern [dot] edu

A first-year medical student at UTSW, Xuan is from a small, rural farm town in Colorado but has come to favor Dallas as her new home. She graduated in May 2012 from Rice University with degrees in Biochemistry and Philosophy. In her free time, she loves to volunteer! She is extremely excited about this year’s United to Serve. Giving back to the community and having an active presence among her peers are two things that she is passionate about. When she is not volunteering, you can find her training for a half-marathon, exploring Dallas’s food scene, blogging about fashion, cheering on the Mavericks, and always having a great time with her fellow first-year class.

My name is Chen, I grew up in China. My family moved from China to Cincinnati about seven and half years ago. I enjoy drawing, watching movies, hang out with friends and go on adventures. I especially enjoy spending time with family. I love cat. I’m an only child and I always wanted a younger sibling.
