Now a second year medical student at UT Southwestern Medical School, she will be serving as one of this year’s Science Zone Chairs. Jeremy Stubblefield – Science Zone Chair
“Hey, hey! My name is Jeremy and, though I grew up in the northwest Chicago suburbs (Go Cubs!!), frequent vacationing in South Dakota makes me feel like the Black Hills are my second home. I’m a graduate student in the department of Neuroscience. My field of study is circadian biology and I’m researching the impact of our circadian system on rhythms in fat and glucose metabolism. This is my third year helping out with United to Serve and this year you can find me coordinating the Science Zone and helping with the AVID mentorship program at TJ Rusk. I’m passionate about education and making science fun and accessible to people of all ages.”
Andrew Hogan – Science Zone Chair
Andy is a 2nd year medical student, a native of Tennessee, and a naturalized Texan. He arrived at UT Southwestern after several years in Houston and a few too many days spent on oil platforms in the Gulf of Mexico. In his spare time, Andy enjoys sports, outdoor activities, travel, wrestling with his dogs, creative projects, and eating his wife’s food. He is excited to co-chair the Science Zone this year and stimulate young minds with exciting and weird information about the human body.
