Marsha Ungchusri: Clinical Nutrition Chair

Previously a middle school science teacher, Marsha decided to pursue a Master’s in Clinical Nutrition at UTSW to marry her love for science, food, and education. In her spare time she can be found in the kitchen  experimenting with a new recipe, hosting dinner parties, off exploring the open road on her bike, or taking sometime to stretch out the stress of grad school in a hot yoga class. Her motto is simple, “Love people. Cook them tasty (and healthy) food!”.

Last year Marsha organized the food prep and cooking party for the Clinical Nutrition booth the night before United to Serve. She is excited to step up as one of the Clinical Nutrition Co-Chairs this year and looks forward to helping United to Serve be the best one yet!

Courtney is, most importantly, a proud member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie class of 2011! (WHOOP 🙂 )… She grew up in East Texas, and decided she wanted to pursue nutrition after taking a general nutrition class and getting sucked into the material… love at first lecture.  She is currently a 2nd year Master’s Clinical Nutrition student at UT Southwestern.  In her spare time she likes to run, experiment in the kitchen making exciting dinners for her husband, and hang out with her weenie dog, Fred.

Courtney was involved with United to Serve last year, from day-before meal prep to clean up, and is super excited about this year’s tastiest food demo yet! She is most excited about the opportunity to reach out to the people of the community with much needed nutritional info and health advice!
