Namita Kamath – Clinical Nutrition Co-Chair namita [dot] kamath [at] utsouthwestern [dot] edu

Namita KamathBorn and raised in Texas, Namita is the epitome of cowboy (girl) and Indian in perfect harmony. After working for a few years in clinical research and seeing how much nutrition helped in preventing and treating diabetes, she decided to become a dietitian. This is her second year both in her Masters in Clinical Nutrition and with United to Serve, and she is excited about both! When not saving the world one meal plan at a time, she likes to sing, dance, exercise, and look at funny pictures of cats on the internet 🙂

Timothy Ng – Clinical Nutrition Co-Chair timothy [dot] ng [at] utsouthwestern [dot] edu

Tim is a 2nd year Master’s Clinical Nutrition student at UTSW. In his free time, he enjoys makingtimothyng_UTS
fresh fruit salads, playing basketball, cycling, and having a good time with friends and family.

He got involved with United to Serve last year as a committee member with an interest to take part in the cooking demonstration that the Clinical Nutrition program hosts each year. “I decided to join the team again this year because of last year’s success and just having a great time with my classmates planning and figuring out different recipes the local community would enjoy.”

He really enjoys the camaraderie of working together with the various health disciplines to put together a comprehensive health fair for the community. “United to Serve is one of those rare opportunities in which we, as a UTSW community, can really get together, pull our resources, and serve as one.”
